Volunteering
The Trust is grateful for the support of more than 400 dedicated volunteers who give up their time to help patients, staff and visitors across the Fylde's hospitals every day.
We are looking for volunteers for the following areas within the hospital.
Welcomers
Ward Helpers
Library Trolley
League of Friends Trolley.

Fundraising
Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has its own charity called Blue Skies Hospitals Fund. The charity provides valuable support to the Trust each year thanks to the generosity of our donors. The charity is registered with the Charity Commission as Blackpool Teaching Charitable Fund (number 1051570).
If you would like to make a donation:
- Enclose a short letter containing your address and your reasons for making the donation (for example a fundraising event or in memory of a loved one)
- All donations are used to support the overall work of the charity unless you specify otherwise. If you would like your donation to support a particular ward or department, please tell us.
- Please make your cheque payable to Blue Skies Hospitals Fund and forward your donation, marked for the attention of the Head of Fundraising and Volunteering, to the address given below.
- Following receipt of your donation all donors will be sent an acknowledgement letter.
