Nurses and Midwives

Each year at the Trust, we treat around 104,000 day cases and inpatients, see 273,000 outpatients and deliver around 3,000 babies. We also have one of the busiest A&E departments in the country, with more than 91,000 attendances each year.

None of it would be possible without the skill and hard work of our nurses and midwives.

Join them, and you’ll benefit from being part of a strong nursing infrastructure, with a head nurse in each division, supported by matrons, sisters, ward managers and practice development nurses.

You’ll also benefit from The Blackpool Way, which fosters a culture of open, two-way communication and co-operation between managers and staff, and encourages everybody to treat each other with respect.
