Patients in hospital are at particular risk of developing infections. National estimates suggest that one in nine patents may pick up an infection during their hospital stay.
At Blackpool we are determined to minimise this risk by asking all staff, patients and visitors to adhere to the highest possible standards of hygiene at all times.
The Trust is running a campaign, 'Ban the Bugs', to raise awareness of the dangers of bringing infections into hospital. You can view a presentation on the campaign, along with information about our infection rates here.
